Tour (Exam Rooms)

To the right is one of our exam rooms. We strive for a bright, cheery look in our exam rooms. If the pet's guardian is relaxed and comfortable, the pet will be more comfortable as well. Note the original animation art celluloids on the back wall. The stuffed animals on top of the refrigerator were gifts from clients. The shelf on the left contain some of Dr. V's and Bev's archery trophies.

To the left is one of our exam rooms, complete with radiograph view box, and certificates of achievement. One of our Cherokee clients gave Dr. V. the Native American Sand painting above the view box. It depicts an Eagle, which is his primary totem animal. The animals on the view box are gifts from clients except for the green dinosaur and the duck. The gifts were given to show their appreciation for the one-on-one type of care we provide, which is virtually extinct in modern medicine. Dr. V made the duck to reflect some non-flattering comments made by some of his "colleagues" labeling complementary therapies as Voo-Doo and its practitioners Quacks. Hence the duck dressed in lizard skins and parrot feathers, wearing a bone necklace, and carrying a crow's feather spear, i.e. a "Voo-Doo Quack". The top certificate is Dr. V's International Veterinary Acupuncture certificate; number 279 in the entire world. The one below that is his Reiki certificate entitling him to treat humans. The certificates below that are for the three martial arts he participates in: Aikido, Iaido, and Karate. The VCR feeds into a television in the exam room where we show clients videos on topics from parasites to whelping to exotic pet care. We have produced several videos on acupuncture, alternative therapies in general, and one specifically showing how we use alternative therapies to treat a variety of cancers.
