Homeopathy (page 4)
 What does my pet feel?
The only direct feeling comes from swallowing the liquid or pill. Some liquid remedies have a small percentage of drinking alcohol (usually brandy or vodka) included to extend their shelf life. The pills have a somewhat sweet taste.

Indirectly your pet will feel a lessening of clinical signs after taking the remedy. The intense scratching subsides, the gut-wrenching cough calms down, or the piercing joint pains start to diminish.

Why would I want this for my pet?
Clients usually seek homeopathic remedies when regular medicine has failed to correct the health problem. Often this involves chronic, poorly responsive conditions such as skin diseases or arthritis. Since you want your pet to be and stay healthy, you need to be willing to work through the healing process. Unfortunately, some owners feel that a health imbalance that has only poorly responded to a variety of regular drugs over a course of several years should somehow disappear with a single remedy or even a single dose of a single remedy. While this can happen, it should not be expected.

Homeopathy is an excellent form of therapy to combine with one of the other alternative therapies such as acupuncture or chiropractic. It is an important alternative for pets that are overly sensitive to Western drugs. Homeopathic remedies are also a good choice for those pets with multiple disease conditions.
